What this covers

This policy applies to Hareksoul Stories (stories.hareksoul.com), a short fiction and reflective writing platform. It does not cover the Hareksoul brand site or other Hareksoul products.

What we collect

• Google sign-in: your name, email address, and profile picture via Google OAuth (powered by Supabase). We only request basic profile access.
• Email subscriptions: your email address if you subscribe to new story notifications.
• Story notes: any notes you leave on a story are stored with your email (if signed in) or anonymously.
• View counts: anonymous story view counts. No personal data tied to views.

How we use it

• Send you email notifications when new stories are published (subscribers only).
• Display your sign-in status and personalise your experience on the site.
• Pass story notes to the Hareksoul team for reading and responding.
• Track story popularity via anonymous view counts.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing.

Email subscriptions

You can subscribe to new story notifications by clicking the bell icon on any story page. Every notification email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also unsubscribe at any time from your account menu.

Cookies and local storage

We use browser local storage to remember your sign-in state and subscription token. No third-party tracking cookies are used.

Data protection

Reasonable measures are taken to protect your information. Access to stored data is restricted to authorised Hareksoul team members only.

Your rights

You can request deletion of your account data or subscription at any time by emailing support@hareksoul.com. We will respond within 7 days.
